HOTMA Regulatory Changes
Spartanburg Housing is hereby notifying you of regulatory changes made by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that may impact how your income is calculated effective July 1, 2025. On July 29, 2016, HUD signed into law the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) which is intended to make widespread changes to Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher (aka Section 8).
