• February 27, 1975 - Completion of the state's first Homeownership Program.
  
  
• May 5, 1976 - Section 8 program started.
  
• November 30, 1976 - SC 3-11 Scattered Sites project opens.
• August 1981 - New Section 8 construction begins.
• March 31, 1982 - Frank M. Gooch Apartments, Louvenia D. Barksdale Apartments, and Ellen C. Watson Apartments opens.
• October 31, 1985 - Spruce Street Apartments and Leland Street Apartments opens.
